Likewise, sudden death was twice as likely in men whose heart rates didn't slow down enough in the minute after exercise ended, compared with men with normal shifts in their heart rate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;Apparently the study will lead to more research and better medications for those at risk. (+945)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess I need to keep working these "Point Goals." The only problem I forsee is that eventually, expecially if I exceed the previous months point total, I will get to a stage where I can't make the secondary. At the gym today, the Tricep Extension was a lighter weight than what I use at my regular gym, but it sure seemed as heavy or heavier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Either way, an overall good workout today. Cardio was good. Strength could have included a few more stations, but the time of day was a factor as the weight area was very crowded and the weights I needed weren't available. This article really says a lot about the lack of effort by our educators in schools today. Tuesday, appointments, one after another, caused me to miss., Wednesday, No excuse, I chose a meeting over the workout.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, finally, a workout. 10 Miles on the Lifecycle/27:33 minutes. Flat profile/Level 6. Average RPM: 114. All-in-all, a strong workout. Will increase cycle time tomorrow. Strength training still touch-and-go. Injured my back a couple of weeks ago and need to take it slow on the weights. Did some Lat Pulldowns and Alternating DB Curls.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Still trying to figure out the format I want to use for this thing starting in January. I started an exercise program about 2 months prior, while working for the US Army at Fort Lewis, WA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I started at McChord, I signed up for the &lt;a href="http://www.fitlinxx.com"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffff99;"&gt;FitLinxx&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; program. The Air Force is a big user of FitLinxx. The program is available a only a few Army posts, so I was excited to get involved with something that would help me log my workouts and exercises.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You have to register to use FitLinxx on line. Once registered, one can log essentially any type of workout and earn "FitPoints". Awards are given for various FitPoint Levels:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;15,000 = White&lt;br /&gt;30, 000 = Yellow&lt;br /&gt;50,000 = Red&lt;br /&gt;75,000 = Brown&lt;br /&gt;125,000 = Black&lt;br /&gt;200,000 = Bronze&lt;br /&gt;300,000 = Silver&lt;br /&gt;400,000 = Gold&lt;br /&gt;500,000 = Platinum&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, I am sitting at a total 22,930 points. I have completed the White level and am on my way to the completing the Yellow level. The incentive award I received today for completing my White level was a Carabiner Key Ring. As one progress through, incentive awards, become more valuable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a good incentive to strive for the Platinum level. This program allows one to make fitness a part of daily living.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Look into it.
